Sunday Reflection Quote…The sun is rapidly setting on 2018. Time to reflect on the past and look ahead to the future. All I can say is yowzers what a difference a year makes!!! The personal and professional gifts and shifts have truly been heart warmers and soul shapers. I acknowledge there will challenges ahead; life isn’t all unicorns and rainbows. Nonetheless, I’ll choose to keep forging my story and heavily pepper it with love, simplicity, and gratitude. Here’s to the New Year!

Sunday Reflection Quote (Yes, on Monday)…It has been a long time coming to feel at home; home within my own skin. The last few years I’ve worked incredibly hard healing wounds of the mind and heart. Both personally and professionally intentional decisions opened doors. Thankfully, I chose to walk through. I now realize this feeling of genuine contentment eluded me for years. Yes, years! At times I feel like a completely different person; rewired without the heavy fog. Now the feelings of happiness, love, and optimism live inside. What a gift to finally be home!

Sunday Quote, 12/09/18

Sunday Reflection Quote…I’m reminded to slow down, be present, and savor simplicity. The week started with a student standing out in the cold shivering. I invited her inside to warm up until the bell. A powerful conversation about personal challenges and future goals surprisingly ensued. Choosing to pump the breaks on the morning rush and clock watching opened the door to our memorable conversation. I was inspired by her openness and tenacity. Enjoying a matinee, playing Monopoly, drinking coffee, and enjoying a meal at the table are simple; yet, significant. There’s value in slowing down. There’s value in being present. There’s value in simplicity. They foster contentment, connection, and love, which is the most significant.

Sunday Quote, 12/02/18

Sunday Reflection Quote…I’m pretty much wired to be a tight lipped doer. I rarely ask for help, nor reveal too much. More of a hunker down, hold on tight and grind, grind, grind some more kind of person. This week vulnerability was catapulted to the forefront. I’m reminded I can’t be all things to all people and asking for help or delegating doesn’t mean I’m weak. There’s strength in being vulnerable and asking for assistance is actually empowering. Here’s to putting the ego on the shelf and being open to vulnerability!
